Alcohol Training Grant
Our training program in alcohol abuse and alcoholism provides multi-disciplinary training for pre- and post-doctoral researchers in the neurobiology and behavioral pharmacology of alcohol. This grant is funded by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA). An additional administrative supplement targets support to both pre- and post-doctoral researchers for the study alcohol co-use/abuse with illicit drugs like cocaine, amphetamine, and marijuana.
Postdoctoral Research, Instruction, and Mentoring Experience (PRIME) Program
Funded by the National Institute of General Medical Sciences’ Institutional Research and Academic Career Development Award Program, this program offers an integrated training experience in traditional research at Wake Forest School of Medicine with a broad variety of teaching assignments in pre-professional and allied health professional courses at the School of Medicine, Wake Forest University, and Winston-Salem State University. The PRIME program is specifically designed to facilitate the recruitment, retention, and development of scientists from under-represented groups.
