David Dixon, MD
Board certified in family medicine, Dr. David Dixon is dedicated to developing relationships with and caring for members of families throughout all of their stages of life. He believes healing should be a part of all aspects of a patient's physical, mental and spiritual life. Dr. Dixon is professionally interested in preventative medicine, sports medicine and pediatric and adolescent care. He is fluent in Spanish and looks forward to serving the health care needs of the Surry County Latino community. He is also the team physician for the Mount Airy Bears, the 2008 state champions in football.

Jose Lopez, MD
Dr. Jose Lopez is a board certified family medicine doctor and member of the national and state chapters of the American Academy of Family Physicians. With special interests in primary care, preventative health and geriatric medicine, Dr. Lopez brings a breadth and depth of experience to Family Medicine - Foothills. Dr. Lopez has held multiple academic positions at the University of Tennessee at Memphis, the University of Florida and Florida Hospital Family Practice, and was previously the Chief Medical Officer of a medical clinic in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Lopez is fluent in Spanish and is excited about providing exceptional medical care to the Mt. Airy Hispanic community.

Laura Torres, MD
A graduate of Wake Forest School of Medicine, Dr. Laura
Torres is excited to be back in North Carolina. She enjoys caring for patients
of all ages and has a special interest in women’s health, mental health,
diabetes management and minor office-based procedures. Dr. Torres is fluent in
Spanish and board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Angela Bowman, PA-C
Angela Bowman, PA-C is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a Cum laude graduate from the Jefferson College of Health Sciences in Roanoke, Virginia. Ms. Bowman has been providing health care to the Mt. Airy community since 2001 with experience in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Sleep Medicine, and Hospital Care. She is professionally interested in preventative medicine and meeting the health care needs of all ages to the citizens of Surry and surrounding counties. Angela enjoys reading, outdoor activities and spending time with family.
Alice Smith Wood, PA-C

Alice Smith Wood, PA-C is a graduate of Wake Forest School of Medicine’s Physician Assistant program. Alice is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a former resident of Ararat, Virginia who now makes her home in Mt. Airy with her husband. She is professionally interested in educating patients on preventative care and lifestyle changes that will improve their health and overall wellbeing. Alice enjoys tennis, cooking, traveling and spending time with family.
