Board Certified Sleep Specialists of the Division of Pulmonary Critical Care
staff the Wake Forest Baptist Medical
Center’s Sleep clinic together with other specialties. This is a
multidisciplinary outpatient clinic
for all sleep related disorders.
The Clinic offers evaluation of sleep disorders offering both in laboratory and
in-home portable sleep studies through our American Academy of Sleep
Medicine-accredited Sleep Center. Patients have the option for follow up management
also through this clinic in coordination with their primary physicians.

- Diagnostic Polysomnography
- Positive airway
pressure (CPAP and Bipap)
Home Portable Sleep studies
- Multiple sleep latency studies
“Raja” Chatterjee, MD, MS, FACP, FCCP, FAASM (Associate
Professor) is board certified in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine.
For the Sleep Disorders Center, he interprets sleep studies and evaluates
patients with sleep disorders. His clinical interest is in obstructive sleep
apnea, obesity hypoventilation syndrome, and general sleep medicine. His
research interests include the influence of occupation and occupational
exposures on sleep, the influence of critical illness on sleep, and the effects
of obesity on sleep. His teaching interests include screening for sleep
disordered breathing and basic sleep disorder management for primary care
physicians. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal
Medicine in Sleep Medicine. || |

Gray Bullard, MD, FCCP, FAASM (Assistant
Professor) is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in
Sleep Medicine, as well as by the American Board of Sleep Medicine. He has an
interest in all types of sleep disorders. Prior to joining Wake Forest Baptist
Health he was the Director of the Sleep Center at the W.
G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center - Salisbury, NC where he continues
to see patients.

MD, FACP, FCCP, FAASM (Associate
Professor) is board certified in in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep
Medicine. Dr. Namen’s interest is in
quality improvement in sleep medicine practice especially in preoperative
screening for sleep breathing disorders. He spear heads the sleep registry
research project of the sleep center. He is also interested in sleep medicine
in the geriatric population with research projects related to this and
epidemiology. He is board certified by
the by the American Board of Sleep Medicine.

Alexander Sy, MD,
MBA, FCCP, FACP, FAASM (Professor) is
board certified in in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. He has more
than 20 years of experience in treating sleep disorders and directing sleep
centers. His interest is in general sleep breathing disorders. He is board
certified by the American Board of Sleep Medicine.
