Our physicists' role is critical to any radiation treatment planning and precise delivery. Using advanced imaging equipment, like the MRI or PET-CT, our physicists collaborate with physicians and dosimetrists to maximize the amount of radiation directed at a tumor, while minimizing the damage to nearby normal structures. Another indispensable physics service is the accurate measurements, calibration and verification of the radiation output  from all radiation sources employed in cancer therapy.
