Postdoctoral Training Program in Translational Radiation Oncology (TRADONC)
Thank you for your interest in our NCI-funded T32 Postdoctoral Fellowship training program in Translational Radiation Oncology (TRADONC). The mission of TRADONC is to equip basic scientist, radiation oncologist, and other cancer specialist with the background and expertise required to work efficiently and effectively together and successful in obtaining peer-reviewed funding in translation radiation oncology, biology, and physics research. The goals of TRADONC are to:
- Broaden the research infrastructure of translation radiation researchers by increasing the number of well-trained basic scientists and physicists exposed to the clinical practice of radiation oncology.
- Develop a group of clinical radiation oncologists and cancer specialists who are proficient in hypothesis-driven basic research as well as the design and implementation of clinical trials.
- Provide a common base of scientific, technical and medical knowledge, and research experience so that the basic scientists, physicists, and radiation oncologist can communicate and interact efficiently and effectively as members of a multidisciplinary radiation oncology
