In addition to the conditions and treatments listed above, we perform a variety of challenging vascular and non-vascular procedures. The Interventional Radiology section currently performs:

  • Diagnostic peripheral angiograms
  • Arterial PTA and stents
  • Arterial and venous thrombolysis
  • Chemoembolizations
  • Yttrium-90 radioembolization
  • UFE
  • Percutaneous transhepatic cholangiograms and biliary tube placement
  • Percutaneous nephrostomy
  • US/CT-guided biopsies and drainages
  • Permanent and retrievable IVC filter placement
  • Gastrostomy
  • Dialysis access, including permacaths and AVF/AVG declots,
  • TIPS
  • Varicoceles
  • Endovenous laser ablation of varicose veins
  • Ambulatory phlebectomy
  • Venograms
  • Venous access including porta catheter placement
  • Venous PTA

Over 90% of non-tunneled central venous catheters are placed by the PICC team which is overseen by the IR section.
