The department of Recreation Therapy was founded in 1975, and offers services to the following areas:

- Burn/Plastics/Renal
- Cardiology
- Hematology/Oncology
- Acute Care for the Elderly
- Critical Care
- Epilepsy Monitoring Unit
- Trauma/Medical Surgical
