Ashley Edgell, LTR/CTRS

Recreation Therapist - Psychiatry

Ashley is a native of Salisbury, North Carolina. She recently graduated from East Carolina University in May 2011 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreational Therapy. As part of her undergraduate degree program, she worked with the populations of geriatrics, developmental disabilities, adult psychiatry, alcohol and drug rehabilitation, and hematology/oncology. Ashley is currently working at Wake Forest Baptist Health on the child/adolescent psychiatry unit and adult psychiatry unit on weekends.

Ashley is licensed at the state level (LRT) and certified at the national level (CTRS).  She is a member of the North Carolina Recreation Therapy Association (NCRTA), as well as The American Therapeutic Recreation Association (ATRA).

Ashley’s hobbies include photography, crafts, and spending time with her four dogs.
