Summer morning swim lessons

Summer morning session schedule (Preschool 8-8:30, Level 1 8:30-9:15, Level 2 9:15-10:00)
June 11, June 25, July 9, July 23, August 6, August 20th (Mon-Thu x 2 weeks for a total of 8 sessions)

Preschool swim

Swimmers meet for eight 30 minute sessions. These classes are designed to help your swimmer gain confidence in the water; focusing on basic swimming and safety skills.  Cost $55  

 

Learn to Swim Level I for children 5 and up

Eight 45 minute classes that introduce new swimming and water safety skills and build on previously learned skills.  Cost: $75  

Level 1:  Introduction to Water Skills:  

 

Your child is introduced to basic skills as the foundation for future skills.  Certain milestones are necessary for successful completion of Level 1 which include:     

 

  •  Enter the water independently,
  • Traveling at least 5 yards,
  • Bobbing 3 times,
  • Gliding on front (supported) for 2 body lengths,
  • Rolling to back float for 3 seconds (with support) and recovering to a vertical position (with support). 

Level 1 Year Round Sessions: 4:00 pm Tuesday

Learn to Swim Level 2 for children 6 and up

Eight 45 minute classes that build on skills learned in Level 1. Cost: $75
Independent milestones necessary for successful completion of Level 2 include:
    

  • Stepping from the side into chest-deep water, 
  • Maintaining a front float for 5 seconds,
  • Rolling to back, floating for 5 seconds and recovering to a vertical position;
  • Maintain a back float for 5 seconds,
  • Roll to front and recover,
  • Push off and swim using combined arm and leg action on front for 5 body lengths,
  • Rolling to back, float for 15 seconds, roll to front and continue swimming for 5 body lengths. 

Level 2 Year Round Sessions: 4:00 pm Thursday
Session Start Dates: March 8, May 3, June 28, August 23, October 18

Readiness evaluations are available for $5.00.  Please contact Debbie at 713-8190 to schedule your child.

Please include a one-time $10.00 registration fee (check to NCBH).
