Massage Therapy Scholarship Fund
Donations Requested
The Massage Therapy Program was implemented at the Medical Center in March 2006. In addition to the fee for service program for clients, the Program also created a scholarship program for inpatients / outpatients that were unable to financially cover the cost of this therapeutic treatment.
In addition to donations, scholarship funding was also provided from the Program for Complementary and Integrative Medicine for 2008 which allowed the Program to provide 430 sessions throughout the Medical Center in areas such as:
- Employee Health/Wellness Day
- Cancer Center
- Brenner Children’s Hospital
- Women’s Health Center
- Surgical Waiting
- Cancer Center
Surveys conducted after the massage confirmed that patients and their caregivers were relaxed and reported feeling decreased stress from the chair massages.
The Massage Therapy Program would like to continue to provide free services to patients who are unable to financially cover the cost of the therapeutic massage treatment. Donations for the Scholarship Fund are being accepted by cash or check made payable to:
