CT Images Are Rendered and Visualized in 3-D

This 3-D rendering of a human head is an example of how TeraRecon technology at the Center for Biomolecular Imaging at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center is being developed for use in diagnosis and treatment. This technology, which allows CT or MRI images to be viewed, segmented, edited and rendered into 2-D, 3-D, and 4-D visualizations, is particularly useful for cardiac, diagnostic radiology and oncology applications.
