Current Research

Dr. Case is a Professor in the Department of Biostatistical Sciences, Division of Public Health Sciences, at Wake Forest University. He was formerly the Director of the Cancer Center Biostatistics Core, the head of the Biostatistics Core of the DOD Behavioral Center of Excellence in Breast Cancer, and the PI of the Statistical Center for the Ischemia Stroke Genetics Study, a five-center case-control study looking at the association between genetic markers and the risk of stroke. Currently he is the PI of the Data Coordinating Center for REST-IT, a multi-center randomized clinical trial in patients with depression, and the senior statistician for the Wake Forest Research Base, which provides the infrastructure for conducting cancer prevention, symptom management, and cancer care delivery clinical trials in the NCI Community Oncology Research Program. His research interests include group sequential designs, study designs with time to event endpoints, and statistical graphics.
