We are proud of the following media/recognition:
- The work of Lance D. Miller, PhD, and colleagues demonstrating that expression of the intracellular iron regulatory protein ferroportin is an important determinant of the biological aggressiveness of human breast cancer was cited in the Lab Report: Health, Science, and Medicine section of the August 16, 2010 issue of Time Magazine.
- Predoctoral trainee Andrew Burke was awarded a predoctoral fellowship from the Department of Defense to study the effect of carbon nanotubes on breast cancer stem cells.
- Postdoctoral trainee Ravi Singh, PhD, was awarded a prestigious Howard Temin award from the National Cancer Institute to develop 2-deoxyglucose linked carbon nanotubes as breast cancer imaging agents.
