Patient Information

Clinical trials are research studies in which people help medical professionals explore ways to improve health. Each study tries to answer specific scientific questions and is designed to find safe and effective ways to better prevent, diagnose, and/or treat disease. Before they can begin, all clinical trials must go through a rigorous review process conducted by the Wake Forest University Health Sciences Institutional Review Board to insure that the safety, rights and welfare of human subjects are protected.

As a participant in a clinical trial, you have the opportunity to be involved in important research that may bring about advances in science and health care. Participants are needed in all areas of research, from trials in healthy participants to studies of specific diseases. We conduct clinical trials in acne, psoriasis, eczema, rosacea, itch, skin cancers, hair diseases, toenail fungus and athlete’s foot, as well as several other skin diseases.

If you are interested in participating in a clinical trial, you can contact us at (336) 716-3775 regarding study participation.

Only with your help are we able to make a difference.
