Pathology Department Graduate Program
PhD in Molecular Pathology
The Molecular Pathology graduate program began in 1969 as the first interdisciplinary graduate program at Wake Forest University, and it continues to draw its training faculty from many other departments. It is part of the graduate school's interdisciplinary Molecular and Cellular Biosciences (MCB) PhD track (Track 4).
Dr. John Parks is the director of the Molecular Pathology PhD program.
Predoctoral training opportunities also exist in the Integrative Lipid Sciences, Inflammation, and Chronic Diseases Training Program, which is designed to provide research training in the broad and expanding discipline of lipid sciences, with a particular emphasis on the relationships among lipid metabolism, inflammation, and chronic diseases.
Research programs of the training faculty are supported by 9 R01 grants, 2 Program Project grants (HL049373-14 and CA106742-01) and a P50 Center grant (AT0027820-03).
