Rat and Mouse Surgical Workshop

The Department of Orthopaedics hosts an annual Rat and Mouse Surgical Workshop. The goal of this course is to introduce scientists to surgical and physiological monitoring techniques that enable them to examine complex physiological responses. The course focuses on surgical skills, techniques and "tricks" that permit the successful use of acute and chronic instrumentation techniques and hardware in small animals. The course also exposes participants to powerful data collection and analysis software designed to facilitate study of these complex physiological systems.
