Biostatistics and Research Information Systems Core
Biostatistics and Research Information Systems Core provides statistical and programming expertise in the area of research design, quality control, statistical analyses, and data management. The BIC is composed of a team of highly qualified investigators with expertise in the design of observational and pilot studies, the design and management of clinical trials, database development, centralized and decentralized data management, forms design, data processing, psychometrics, statistical analysis of data from multiple study designs and development of novel statistical methods. The BIC will provide personnel and other resources to: a) collaborate with investigators in the planning and conduct of WFU OAIC Pilot and Research Development studies, b) collaborate throughout all phases of the integration of WFU OAIC Core measures in ongoing externally funded studies, c) collaborate with the Research Career Development Core to provide training to junior faculty in the conduct and analysis of geriatric research, and d) collaborate with the Clinical Research, Integrative Biology Analysis, and BioImaging Resource on the analysis of measures (both initial and longitudinal) obtained with resources from these Cores.
