Dr. Kathi J. Kemper is the Caryl J Guth Chair for Complementary and Integrative Medicine at WFSM. She currently chairs the Herb and Dietary Supplement Task Force, the Council on Bioenergetic Healing, the Committee for Holistic and Integrative Medical Education and the Task Force on Strategic Development of Integrative Services at WFBMC. Dr. Kemper is past president of the Ambulatory Pediatric Association.
She is recognized internationally as the leading authority on complementary therapies for children, and is frequently sought out as a visiting professor and mentor. She has written the definitive review article on Therapeutic Touch and Healing Touch for pediatricians. Dr. Kemper had the honor of being nominated for the Prestigious 2005 Bravewell Leadership Award. This year she was named founder and first chair of the Section for Complementary and Integrative Medicine of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
