Sean Murphy Receives American Australian Assoc. Fellowship
Sean Murphy, Ph.D., has received a Sir Keith Murdoch Fellowship from the American Australian Association. Murphy is a post-doctoral fellow at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center's Institute for Regenerative Medicine and works on a project to develop a cell therapy for cystic fibrosis. The American Australian Association awards individual Fellowships for advanced study in the United States of up to $30,000 each year. The Fellowships build on existing strong social and economic partnerships and foster intellectual exchange between the United States and Australia. To date, over 100 Fellows have received awards totaling over $4 million to pursue post-graduate studies in critical fields, from medical research to sustainability, at leading academic and research institutions in the US and Australia.
