The Piedmont Triad Research Park
The Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine is the premier tenant in Wake Forest Innovation Quarter. Located in Winston-Salem’s downtown business district and centered in the North 
Carolina Technology Corridor, Innovation Quarter expansion plans, led by Wake Forest Baptist, are underway to revitalize its approximately 200 acres over the next 20 to 30 years. Currently, the PTRP community encompasses six buildings providing over 554,000 square feet of wet lab, office, meeting and residential space. PTRP is home to 42 technology tenants that collectively employ over 850 university and corporate personnel from around the globe.
WFIRM will serve as an accelerator for new biotech businesses generated from the transfer of technologies discovered in its laboratories. In this way, Wake Forest Baptist is building a research and development model that links academic medicine with knowledge-based economic development that both share in the growth of our community and the field of medicine.
