From the President
The Medical Alumni Association’s Annual Fund effort for 2011-12 is now in full swing, and I hope we can count on all of you to participate. If you haven’t received a letter and a phone call from a representative of the Wake Forest School of Medicine recently, you will.
The campaign continues through June 30, 2012. Why is our Annual Fund so important?:
- 100 percent of the Annual Fund goes to provide much-needed scholarship support and financial assistance to the talented medical students at our school.
- Supporting the Annual Fund is an excellent way to help individual students while also helping the school provide financial aid packages that are competitive with those offered by peer institutions.
- Your contribution is an investment that helps to guarantee the future quality and reputation of the school and enhances the reputation of all of us who hold the degree.
Almost as important as what you choose to give is the fact that you participate in supporting the fund. When it comes to annual fund support, our school has one of the highest percentages of alumni participation in the nation, and I encourage each of you to help us retain that point of pride in our school.
I encourage you to make a gift or pledge online today in support of scholarships and financial aid for Wake Forest medical students.
To those who already have given in support of the MAA Annual Fund for this year and to all of those who will, thank you!
Sincerely,
Joseph J. Estwanik, M.D. ’73
