Among the services offered are care for adult patients with:

  • diabetes mellitus
  • thyroid disease
  • hypothalamic and pituitary disease
  • adrenal disease

Comprehensive Diabetes Services include:

  • ADA Recognized Diabetes Education Program staffed with diabetes educators, RNs, RDs and PharmD
  • Adult and pediatric outpatient diabetes education services (group classes and individual appointments)
    • Pediatric diabetes care
    • Podiatry services
    • Optical services

Our team of physicians deliver the highest quality medical care and focus their practices on specific diseases within these disease groups. Clinical care is a major focus with both active inpatient consult services and daily outpatient clinics that serve all major endocrine diseases.

As an affiliate of the Wake Forest Baptist Health Diabetes & Endocrinology Center and an academic medical center, our patients have access to research and clinical trials being conducted here and elsewhere. Our endocrinologists have a long tradition of research focused on diabetes and diabetes complications.  Education has traditionally been a strength of the department with an active fellowship program to train new endocrinologists.
