Application Process and Requirements
The Wake Forest School of Medicine Gastroenterology Fellowship Program participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). Only online applications through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) are accepted.
If you are interested in applying for the 2014 Wake Forest School of Medicine Gastroenterology Fellowship, please complete your application online (ERAS) and include:
- ERAS Common Application Form
- Personal statement
- Current Curriculum Vitae
- Three letters of recommendation
** include letter from Chair or Program Director of Applicant's Residency Program - Medical School Transcript
- USMLE Transcripts (Steps 1, 2)
Deadline for receipt of your application and attachments is August 15, 2013. Interviews typically are scheduled from early September to late October, 2013.
Fellow applicants are eligible if they are graduates of a US/Canada medical school accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME), American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or a graduate from a foreign medical school and have a current valid certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG). Candidates must be currently enrolled in, or have recently completed, a 3-year residency program in Internal Medicine. Proof of this training and successful completion of the ACGME competencies must be submitted prior to fellowship start date.
Fellow selection is made without regard to sex, race, age, religion, color, national origin, disability, or any other applicable legally protected status.
