How to apply

Surgical Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery Fellowships

The Wake Forest School of Medicine Surgical Critical Care and AAST-accredited Acute Care Surgery Fellowships use the National Residency Match Program (NRMP).  Read more to view the fellowship eligibility criteria.  For more information about the NRMP match process refer to the Specialties Matching Service website.  After registering with the NRMP, applicants should complete the online application and submit a current Curriculum Vitae and three recent letters of recommendation.  Interviews will be arranged with the applicant based on the CV and letters of recommendation during August and September for the following academic year.  Match lists are due by the end of September and match day is at the end of October.  Refer to the NRMP website for the specific schedule of dates.

There are two options for applying to our program.  First option is through SAFAS which are now using in conjunction with Surgical Critical Care Program Directors Society (SCCPDS).  Click here to apply online through SAFAS.   You may also apply through our home program by clicking on the link below.
