General Surgery Residency Program
The General Surgery Residency Program at Wake Forest School of Medicine is a top-tier five-year residency. We provide a comprehensive training experience that prepares our graduates to become the surgical leaders of tomorrow.
Our graduates have gone on to become board certified surgeons, obtaining highly competitive fellowships in fields such as Surgical Oncology and Pediatric Surgery.
We received continued accreditation after a site visit in January 2016. We are approved to finish five categorical Chief Residents per year. Our program is fully compliant with resident duty-hour rules.
