Stipend and Benefits

The annual stipend for the first-year fellow will be approximately $45,000 and increases approximately 3-5% per year.  Benefits include professional liability insurance, medical insurance/hospitalization, life insurance, disability insurance, lab coats, duplicating services, and paid sick leave.  In addition, the trainee receives three weeks of paid vacation per year and additional time for meetings and other scholarly activities.

Fellows will also be able to take advantage of the John A. Hartford Center of Excellence Educational Debt Relief Program which will support compensation of $10,000 towards each fellow’s educational loan debt upon the completion of Board certification in geriatrics as well as additional debt reduction for those pursuing careers in academic geriatrics.
