Starting in August 2015, Dr. Avi Shetty took the reigns from Dr. Bret Nicks as the new Associate Dean of Global Health.  He will also continue as the Director of Global Health Education alongside the Office of Global Health Program Coordinator, Lynn Snyder.  In October 2010, Dr. Bret Nicks was appointed as the founding Assistant Dean of Global Health.  In August 2013, as part of the OGH strategic growth plans and generous support by the Broyhill Family Foundation, the position of Director of Global Health Education was created.  Dr. Avi Shetty was selected and began serving in this role starting October 2013. 

In July 2015, the first Affiliate Faculty of the Office of Global Health were selected.  This core group of faculty represent a broad group of global health experts and will serve in many capacities to foster growth of global health at Wake Forest.  They will be responsible for providing leadership, support, and effort toward building the global health presence of Wake Forest School of Medicine, the Medical Center and beyond.  In addition, they share their passion and insights in Global Health through participation in the certificate program, mentoring, seminar series, and their respective global health endeavors. They also represent a diverse group of professionals that support and provide insight into the future development of global health within Wake Forest. Applications for Affiliiate Faculty are sought annually. Global Health Care
