Faculty & Staff

The Office of Global Health is currently lead by Dr. Bret Nicks and Lynn Snyder.  Dr. Bret Nicks was appointed as the Assistant Dean of Global Health in October 2010 and serves alongside Lynn Synder, the program coordinator for the Office of Global Health.  They work collaboratively with the Global Health Advisory Committee (GHAC), an institutional committee that was started in July 2010.  In the near future, we will be adding a Director of Global Health Education to our team - watch for this announcement in the Faculty Links in late May 2013.

The GHAC is an interdisciplinary committee of faculty, residents and medical students responsible for providing leadership, support, and effort toward building the global health presence of Wake Forest School of Medicine and Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.  In addition, they share their passion and insights in Global Health through participating in the ongoing lecture series sponsored by the office. They also represent a diverse group of professionals that support and provide insight into the future development of global health within Wake Forest. If you are interested in becoming part of the GHAC, please watch for the annual email request each Spring related to representation on Institutional committees.  We are excited about the breadth of experience each member brings to the group. Global Health Care
