Husband and Wife Team Serve Others

Continuing a Wake Forest School of Medicine tradition of serving others, Evan Moon, who graduated from the Nurse Anesthesia Program in 2016 and his wife, Emily, who will graduate from the program in August, took a mission trip to Kenya earlier this year.

Working side by side, they provided anesthesia for surgeries and medical procedures for Kenyans without regular access to quality health care.

Both Evan and Emily believe this experience has not only strengthened their marriage, but will also help them in their careers as they care for patients from diverse backgrounds.
