Locations and Directions to Applicant Dinners

We would love to have you and your significant other join our Housestaff for a casual dinner while you are in Winston-Salem.  Based on your interview date, please see below for information regarding locations.  

We hope this will give you a chance to get to know some of our Housestaff.  When you arrive ask for the Wake Forest Internal Medicine Residency party.

If you are interviewing on November 20, or December 4 or 11 or 18, or January 8:

Please meet for dinner at FOOTHILLS BREWING RESTAURANT at 6:30pm on the Monday prior to your interview.  Foothills Brewing is located at 638 West 4^th Street in Winston-Salem.  The phone number is 336- 777-3348.

From the east or west on Business I-40 take the Broad Street Exit (5B).  Turn right onto Broad St. Turn left onto W. 4^th St.  The restaurant is on the right.

 

If you are interviewing on November 13 or 19,  or December 10 or 17, or January 7 or 14:

Please meet for dinner at the OLD FOURTH STREET FILLING STATION at 6:30 pm on the evening PRIOR  to your interview.  Fourth Street Filling Station is located at 871 West 4^th Street in Winston-Salem.  The phone number is 336-724-7600.

From the east or west on Business I-40 take the Broad Street Exit (5B).  Turn right onto Broad St. Turn left onto W. 4^th St.  The restaurant is on the right at the corner of 4^th St. and Summit Avenue

 

If you are interviewing on November 16 or 30 or January 15 or 22:

Please meet for dinner at THE DISTRICT ROOFTOP BAR AND GRILLE  at 6:30 pm on the night prior to your interview. The District is located at 770 Liberty View Court in Winston-Salem located off N. Trade Street between 7^th and 8^th (MLK Blvd.). (Use 723 N. Trade St. for GPS) The phone number is 336-462-8882.

From the east on Business I-40 take the Cherry Street Exit (5c). Turn right at 7^th Street. Turn left onto Trade Street.

From the west on Business I-40 take the Cherry Street Exit (5c). Travel 2 blocks and turn left at Cherry Street. Turn right at 7^th Street. Turn left onto Trade Street.

Please meet for dinner at SPRING HOUSE RESTAURANT at 6:30 pm the night prior to your interview.  Spring House is located at 450 North Spring Street in Winston-Salem.  The phone number is (336) 293-4797.

From the east or west on Business I-40 take the Broad Street Exit (5B).  Turn right onto Broad Street, then right onto 4 ½ Street West, then take the first left onto North Spring Street.  The restaurant is on the left.
