Academic Advising

Academic advising refers to scheduling advice or advice offered in the event of academic difficulty in a particular course or clerkship, or more general problems of academic performance. This type of support is offered by a host of faculty and staff as described below. Specific services:

  • course scheduling
  • advice related to course content
  • organizing special opportunity courses to accommodate students' interests
  • assistance in identifying and improving study and test-taking strategies via EARS
  • support for students who have difficulties related to professionalism via PEIRS
  • faculty and/or student tutoring for students requiring temporary academic assistance
  • referral to academic counseling (via WF Learning Assistance Center, through EARS)
