Student Health Services

Health Care for Students

Students have access to primary care physicians through both the main Medical Center scheduling line as well as the Department of Family and Community Medicine.  When students request appointments with a primary care physician, steps are taken to prevent students from being assigned to physicians who are involved in student education and evaluation in order to avoid potential conflicts.  To schedule an appointment with a primary care physician, please call one of the following numbers:

Wake Forest Baptist Health - Family Physicians - (336) 716-4479
Offices are located on the third floor of Piedmont Plaza I, 1920 West First Street.  Same day or next day access is available and emergency care is available on Saturdays.  When calling this number, please be sure to identify yourself as a Wake Forest School of Medicine medical student.

Main Medical Center Scheduling Line - (336) 716-WAKE (9253)
When calling this number, please be sure to identify yourself as a Wake Forest School of Medicine medical student.

The following student health services are available at the Medical Center Employee Health Services Clinic on a walk-in basis Monday through Wednesday and Friday from 7:00 am until 4:30 pm and Thursday from 7:00 am until 3:30 pm:
