Projected Progress

Below is a timetable of the projected progress of a student in the MS Molecular Medicine program: 

Year 1
By September 1
  • Students are assigned a faculty advisor
  • Start first year coursework
    (Select laboratory for research)
By May 31 Thesis advisor is selected and approved by Program Director
By August 1
  • Complete first year coursework
  • Thesis Committee is selected
  • Thesis topic is finalized and approved by the Thesis Committee
Year 2
By September 1 Start thesis research
Completion of Research
Ongoing
  • Complete thesis and submit
  • The Thesis Committee will give an oral examination on the student's research results presented in the thesis
