Below is a timetable of the projected progress of a student in the MS Molecular Medicine program:

| By September 1 | - Students are assigned a faculty advisor
- Start first year coursework
(Select laboratory for research)

| By May 31 | Thesis advisor is selected and approved by Program Director |
| By August 1 | - Complete first year coursework
- Thesis Committee is selected
- Thesis topic is finalized and approved by the Thesis Committee

| By September 1 | Start thesis research |
| Completion of Research |
| Ongoing | - Complete thesis and submit
- The Thesis Committee will give an oral examination on the student's research results presented in the thesis
