Prenatal Diagnosis Conference – Weekly
This conference is jointly led by the Divisions of Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) and Neonatology. Topics in perinatal medicine and neonatal medicine are raised by Neonatology and MFM faculty and assigned to MFM and Neonatal Fellows to present.

Infectious Disease Teaching Rounds by Ped ID Faculty
Professor Rounds – Monthly
A case presentation chosen by the fellow on service and unknown to the “Professor” conducted the patient bedside (physical exam). This is followed by a discussion of the differential diagnosis and workup. The primary attending at either hospital should not be the “Professor”.

Pediatric Surgery Conference - Weekly
Surgery related topics presented by Peds General Surgery Faculty and Fellows.
Fellows' Lecture Curriculum (Weekly)
This conference is the primary weekly clinical conference for the continuing medical education of the Fellows. Fellows are expected to attend all lectures and are protected from their other duties in order to participate. The didactic format of this conference covers a broad range of topics over a three year rotation.
Neonatal Research Seminars - Monthly - 1st Wed
This monthly conference is designed to highlight research, primarily clinical, performed and presented by both Faculty and Fellows within the division, as well as outside invited speakers. Fellows in their second and third years are expected to present their scholarly activity research.
Journal Club- Monthly -2nd Wed
A faculty member and fellow are assigned for each session. The faculty member assigned will assist the fellow in choosing an article and evaluate it before the conference.
Mortality and Morbidity - Monthly - 3rd Wed
Neonatal deaths that occurred at both the Forsyth Medical Center and Brenner Children's Hospital nurseries are presented for discussion by the attending/fellow who were on service at the time of the patient's death. The Pathologists are invited to participate and discuss autopsy reports. Two current challenging case discussions (one case from each nursery) are discussed for the first quarter of the conference.
Perinatal Research - Bi-Monthly (2nd & 4th Tuesday)
Research conference sponsored by the Ob-Gyn Department. A variety of neonatal-perinatal research projects presented by faculty.
