To request an appointment call: 336-713-7400 or 713-7426
The Infant Follow Up Program consists of two clinics. Both clinics serve high risk infants discharged from the neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) at Brenner Children Hospital and Forsyth Medical Center.
The Developmental Follow Up Clinic meets each Tuesday and provide developmental assessments, such as the Bayley Scales of Infant Development. The NICU Follow Up Clinic meets Wednesday and Thursday and provides medical care and developmental screening.
The Comprehensive Infant Clinic is a combined Neuro-NICU patient visit. Dr. Monideep Dutt, Heather Vye (PT) and Dr. Check will see patients that are already followed by Pediatric Neurology but are in need of close neurodevelopmental monitoring as an outpatient. Visits are scheduled one day a month, on the 4th Friday.
Infants served by the clinics include those with bronchopulmonary dysplasia (chronic lung disease), feeding difficulties, and extreme prematurity. Infants are typically followed until they reach 18 months adjusted age (age adjusted for degree of prematurity).
The clinic staff includes two pediatric nurse practitioners, a social worker, a clinic coordinator and a neonatologist from Wake Forest School of Medicine.
