Freedman Recognized at NIH Lecture Series
Barry Freedman, MD, FACP, Nephrology, gave a presentation and was recognized by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) with a certificate of appreciation at the NIH Director's Wednesday Afternoon Lecture Series (WALS) on Jan. 9.
WALS is the highest-profile NIH lecture program where those in the biomedical and behavioral research field present the latest information on discoveries and important studies. The certification that he received from Drs. Francis Collins, director, NIH, and Griffin Rodgers, director, NIDDK, acknowledges his outstanding scientific accomplishments and his contributions to the medical research field.
Freedman's presentation focused on the "Genomic factors impacting health in peoples of African descent."
