Dr. David Lacey Interviewed by NBC News Channel Regarding Treatment of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords

David W. Lacey, MD, medical director of Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Services at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, was interviewed by NBC News Channel to provide treatment insight and perspective on the care of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords of Texas.

Giffords suffered a gunshot to the head Jan. 8 in a shooting spree which has riveted the nation’s attention. Reports show that Giffords is improving steadily and has been moved to TIRR Memorial Hermann Hospital's rehab center in Houston.

Lacey is a physiatrist, a medical doctor who specializes in rehabilitating and restoring optimal function to people with injuries such as brain injuries and major traumas.
