Neuroscience Tutorial Series

Weekly informal seminars presented by neuroscience faculty in the fall and spring semesters. Topics for the tutorials are fairly open and range from basic neuroscience research being done by the speaker to clinical research/programs, to philosophical, career, etc. aspects of neuroscience. Speakers assign a journal article related to the topic of the presentation for students to read. The presentation lasts about 30 minutes followed by a group discussion of the article, which is led by the student assigned to that week’s topic.

Weekly student-run tutorials take place during the summer semester in which current students submit a presentation on their current research in the program.

This class is required of all neuroscience students for their entire duration in the Program, and provides a wonderful opportunity to keep them abreast of all of the different aspects of neuroscience taking place at the Medical Center.
