The Office of Women in Medicine and Science (OWIMS) is seeking Abstract submissions for Women’s Health and Sex Differences Research Day.  The title of the event is “The Gender Gap: Pain  & Addiction” and it will be held on April 6th, 2017, at the Bowman Gray Center for Medical Education. Abstracts are  due by December 16, 2016.
All faculty, staff, students (medical, graduate, PA, and other), medical residents and post-doctoral fellows are encouraged to submit abstracts (new or recycled) for consideration for oral or poster presentation. While all women’s health and sex differences abstracts are encouraged, special consideration will be given for submissions with specific focus on pain or addiction.  The top 5 Abstracts will be selected for a 5 minute oral presentation after lunch on April 6th. Prizes will be awarded for the top oral presentation, top student poster and top resident/post-doctoral student poster (faculty and staff submissions not eligible for prizes).  Poster guidelines.

Call for information: Women's Health and/or Sex Differences Research at WFBMC: One of our goals in OWIMS is to foster women's health research by enabling researchers at the institution with women's health and/or Sex Differences interests to connect with one another and by promoting the development of new, translational research collaborations and teams.
