Why Donate to OWIMS?

Thank you for visiting the Office of Women in Medicine and Science Donation Page.  We appreciate your interest and hope you decide to help us impact the professional development of women by making a donation. 

The missions of OWIMS are to foster, facilitate and enhance recruitment, rentention, professional development, and promotion of women faculty, house staff and students.

To accomplish our missions we have a Leadership and Mentoring Program, which is engaged in providing educational programs and enrichment opportunities. 

What Would My Donation be Used for?

Leadership

  • Sponsorship of professional development workshops at WFSM for female faculty, residents & staff and women in the community
  • Scholarships to female faculty to attend national professional development meetings/ workshops/training sessions, for instance AAMCELAM; and SELAM  
  • Purchase of general professional development materials for women faculty

Mentoring

  • Purchase of mentoring materials for program participants

How to Donate to OWIMS

The Office of Alumni Affairs and Development collects gifts and donations for WFSM.  To make a donation or gift to the Office of Women in Medicine and Science (OWIMS), visit: https://www.wakehealth.edu/OnlineGift.htm.
