Residency Application Process
The Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program is a four year training program. There are twenty-four (24) RRC approved residency positions.
Applications are only accepted through the Web-Based Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Please note that any questions regarding ERAS should be directed to your Dean's Office/Office of Student Activities or the ERAS web site.
More details about the application process can be found on our medical center's house staff website including information on contracts, benefits, institutional policies, and foreign medical graduate requirements.
Application deadline will be announced shortly. Completed ERAS application should include the following:
The ERAS common application form
Three letters of recommendation
Official medical school transcript
COMLEX or USMLE Step 1 & 2 (CS and CK) scores
*Note that passing scores for BOTH step 1 and step 2 (CK and CS) are required in order to start residency; however, only step 1 scores are required for the application process. However, having both scores available for the application process can be very helpful.
Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE)
We do not require previous clinical experience or United States experience for foreign medical graduates.
If you should have any additional questions regarding the application process, please contact Cori Ray at (336) 716-4615 or email@example.com.
Invitations for interviews will be issued by means of an ERAS e-mail. A typical interview day generally lasts from 7:30 am-4:00 pm and includes an introduction to the program from the Residency Program Director and Chair, personal interviews with the Residency Director, faculty, and senior residents, lunch and informal time with current residents, and a tour of the medical center, labor and delivery, and resident clinic sites. Current residents host a social event the night before the interview date. Applicants will be notified of all final details and locations once the interview date has been scheduled.
