Apply to the Ophthalmology Residency Program

Applications 

Qualified applicants should apply through the Central Application Service provided by the Ophthalmology Match Program, www.sfmatch.org. Our deadline for application is October 1st each year. Applicants will be notified if invited for an interview. Applicants accepted into the program must successfully complete an ACGME approved internship (PGY 1 year) prior to starting their residency training.

  • November 21
  • December 11
  • December 12  

A typical interview day would last from either 12 pm to 5 pm on a Friday, or 8 am to 1:00 pm on a Saturday. It will include an introduction to the program from the residency director, personal interviews with the faculty, lunch or breakfast and informal time with the current residents. There will also be a tour of the medical center. There will be an informal social on Friday evening that is optional to attend. You will be notified of the time and place when your interview is scheduled.
