Residency
Thank you for your interest in the orthopaedic surgery residency training program at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. We are excited to share information about our program and encourage you to navigate our website.
At Wake Forest, resident education is at the heart of our academic patient care mission. We are proud of our residency program and of the surgeons that we train. Our diverse educational program has fellowship-trained faculty in each of the orthopaedic sub-specialty areas and our educational experience ranges from management of routine fractures to complex tertiary orthopaedic surgery referrals.
The Wake Forest Baptist Health system is a level one pediatric and adult trauma center that routinely serves patients from Western North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee, and South Carolina. Our faculty takes great pride in serving as teachers, mentors, and advisors to our residents, ensuring they become competent, independent orthopaedic surgeons.
Again, we thank you for your interest in our orthopaedic surgery residency and we encourage you to learn more about our program.
