Training the Next Generation Otolaryngologist

APPLICATIONS:

Applications for residency are centralized nationally for the Otolaryngology Match. This is organized by National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).   We except applications each year through the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) until October 31st of each year.

RESIDENCY INTERVIEW DATES:

Interviews are granted by invitation after review of the applications received through the ERAS system only. Information is available on their website https://services.aamc.org/eras/myeras/.  All guidelines, deadlines, and restrictions apply.  Applicants to Otolaryngology do not need to apply to General Surgery also.

The Department of Otolaryngology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine traditionally conducts interviews on the Friday and Saturday following the Martin Luther King Holiday.  The interview schedule begins at 8:00 AM and ends at 5:00 PM.  There is a non-mandatory social event on Friday evening from 7:00 - 9:00 PM. Interviews will be conducted in the departments Academic Office on the 4th floor of Watlington Hall.
