Your interest in an Administrative Residency program couldn’t come at
a better time, as our profession is in need of future innovators and
leaders. We are dedicated to providing a residency experience that will
provide insight into the delicate balance of managing a health system
through business acumen, strategic vision, change management, and above
all quality patient care. Our philosophy of managing self and systems
while leading people will serve as the foundation for your growth and
development as a future clinician and leader in the profession. We look
forward to meeting you and sharing our compassion for pharmacy and
those we serve.
We are excited to have the opportunity to train the pharmacy leaders of tomorrow and look forward to meeting you. It has always been my passion to help residents develop and to continue to improve and grow the residency experience. I graduated with a PharmD from the University of Nebraska and experienced the two year administrative residency and master's degree at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics with our program architect, Nate Peaty. The knowledge gained from that program has allowed us assess the strengths of our residency and identify continued opportunities to enhance our experience here by incorporating the Wake Forest culture. My current role is the Director of Pharmacy here at Wake Forest. That includes comprehensive pharmacy services built around patient transitions within 40 clinics (3 infusion clinics), 5 heme/onc infusion centers, affiliate community hospitals, specialty pharmacy, home infusion, 6 outpatient pharmacies, and patient assistance. I am heavily involved in the design of the admin residency experience and my roles include PGY2 advisor, PGY2 rotation preceptor, and mentor. At Wake Forest you will find an engaging and challenging experience designed to provide a solid foundation for your career as a pharmacy leader and push the limits of what you can accomplish. And we make sure to weave in every opportunity to have a good time!
