100% pass rate on PANCE for PA Class of 2014!
Congratulations to the Wake Forest PA Class of 2014, all of
whom passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE) on
their first attempt! According to the National Commission on Certification of
Physician Assistants (NCCPA), which administers the boards, the pass rate nationally
for first-time test takers has averaged 93% for the past five years.
The Wake Forest PA Class of 2014 results reflect
the hard work of the class as well as multiple contributions of faculty and
staff in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies. Achievement of the 100%
pass rate also coincides with the one year mark of the launch of a new Office
of Academic Excellence in PA Studies, which is an innovative pilot program to
translate adult learning theory into programmable interventions to analyze
student learning styles, improve test-taking skills, and provide other
types of academic support.
