Physician Assistant Professional Organizations

PAEA

The Wake Forest School of Medicine (WFSM) Physician Assistant Program is a member of, and involved in, the Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA). This organization offers physician assistant programs an opportunity to exchange ideas and research on many educational issues related to the clinical education of PAs.

AAPA

Faculty and graduates of the WFSM Physician Assistant Program are involved in the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), the professional organization representing physician assistants. Since its formation in 1968, the AAPA has taken an active role in determining the direction and development of the profession.

Physician Assistant Program Accreditation

The Wake Forest School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program is accredited by the Accreditation Review Commision on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. (ARC-PA).
