Poster session showcases graduate projects for PA Studies Class of 2014
On May 12, PA students in the Class of 2014 presented their master’s projects at the annual Graduate Project Symposium, held in the Atrium at Biotech Place.
event started with breakfast, followed by a keynote address from PA Studies
faculty member Zachary Hartsell, MPAS, PA-C, who is also Director of Physician
Assistant Services for Wake Forest Baptist Health. Hartsell spoke to the crowd
of first-year and second-year students and faculty on “The Perfect Game: How
Baseball Can Teach Us about Leadership.” Then audience members viewed posters
of the 24 projects and talked with the students about their work.
explored a variety of topics for their graduate projects, from breast cancer to
knee replacement surgery, tourniquet use to kidney donation, but all were
passionate about the work they had done and enthusiastic about the opportunity
