Poster session showcases graduate projects for PA Studies Class of 2014

 CO2014-GP Symposium_500x375

On May 12, PA students in the Class of 2014 presented their master’s projects at the annual Graduate Project Symposium, held in the Atrium at Biotech Place.

The event started with breakfast, followed by a keynote address from PA Studies faculty member Zachary Hartsell, MPAS, PA-C, who is also Director of Physician Assistant Services for Wake Forest Baptist Health. Hartsell spoke to the crowd of first-year and second-year students and faculty on “The Perfect Game: How Baseball Can Teach Us about Leadership.” Then audience members viewed posters of the 24 projects and talked with the students about their work.

Students explored a variety of topics for their graduate projects, from breast cancer to knee replacement surgery, tourniquet use to kidney donation, but all were passionate about the work they had done and enthusiastic about the opportunity to share it with the audience. To see all the topics presented, please view the Symposium program.
