Common Curriculum Presentations
The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), the national organization responsible for accrediting residency programs, has mandated that all institutions sponsoring residency programs must have a "common curriculum." This curriculum is meant to cover a number of topics which apply to all resident physicians, regardless of their medical discipline.
The Common Curriculum Committee of our Graduate Medical Committee identified 32 topics for presentation, with the most efficient delivery format being computer-based learning. We believe you will gain valuable information through the material presented in this program. This curriculum is not meant to replace, but rather complement the information and experience gained while under the guidance of your individual department.
We will revise the program in the future and solicit your comments and suggestions for improvement.
These presentations require that Adobe Shockwave be installed on your computer.
2013 Incoming House Officers should not complete the current Common Curriculum. A new web based program, Introduction to the Practice of Medicine Notification will be instituted on July 1, 2013.
