Advanced Endourology 2016 Symposium 
Technical Recommendations and Practical Hints

Course Program

Cook Medical and Karl Storz-Endoskope invite you to this advanced educational experience. View live surgeries performed by world experts and gain hands-on experience using surgical simulators and cadavers. Faculty will share tips on techniques and demonstrate updated technology for flexible intrarenal stone treatment, percutaneous access to the kidney guided with ultrasound and fluoroscopy, Mini-Perc and Ultramini-Perc as well as conventional percutaneous nephrolithotomy and other new surgical instruments and tools.

Hands-on simulation sessions will include the manipulation of stone with flexible ureteroscopes and nephroscopes, laser lithotripsy and stone retrieval accessories and percutaneous access to the kidney using conventional and Mini-Perc instruments in model simulators. A unique cadaver hands-on skill activity to access the kidney using renal ultrasound and fluoroscopy will be presented.

Lectures will be focused on advanced endourology, patient selection, and how to incorporate the technology into daily practice. Course Director: Jorge Gutierrez, MD
