Originally from South Carolina, Dr. Cox attended medical school and surgery residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC.  His surgery practice includes a broad range of surgical interests, including laparoscopic gastrointestinal surgery, cancer surgery, minimally invasive weight loss surgery, and surgery for breast cancer, colon cancer, thyroid disorders, and melanoma.  He offers minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery for the treatment of hiatal hernias, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), achalasia, diverticular disease, colon or rectal cancer, and other disorders of the stomach, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen and adrenal glands.  He has a special interest in minimally invasive surgical weight loss procedures, including laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, and revisional bariatric surgery.

Originally from Oregon, Dr. Hata attended medical school and residency at Duke University, where he also completed a minimally invasive surgery fellowship focused on advanced laparoscopic abdominal surgery.
His practice is centered on minimally invasive abdominal surgery, including laparoscopic surgery for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), achalasia, diverticular disease, colon or rectal cancer, and other disorders of the stomach, gallbladder, appendix, pancreas, spleen and adrenal glands.   Finally, he performs a wide range of minimally invasive surgical weight loss procedures, including laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, gastric banding and revisional bariatric surgery.

Kenneth L. Parish, MD

Dr. Parish attended The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and completed a general surgery residency at Vanderbilt. His practice covers the full spectrum of general surgery interests, including laparoscopic gastrointestinal surgery, cancer surgery (breast, colon, thyroid, melanoma, and others), and endocrine surgery.  He is the medical director of the Frye Cancer Program and has a special interest in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of breast cancer.

Jodi Lanier, MSN, RN, FNP-C

Jodi attended Wake Forest University, earning a bachelor of science in biology and a minor in chemistry.  She then received her bachelor of science in nursing from Lenoir-Rhyne University.  After working in the emergency department, neuro ICU, and pediatrics, she then earned her master’s degree in nursing from UNC-Charlotte.  She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner.  She currently specializes in bariatrics, working closely with our surgical weight loss patients throughout their weight loss process.  
Special interests include spending time with her husband and two young children, traveling, and attending sporting events (Go Deacs!).
